Being Sent Off

The walls in my house are decked with photos from my birth, through my childhood, and up to my graduation from high school. Connor created games and made sushi. He is a hardworking fella and today wouldn't have happened without him and my wonderful parents. The Miller family makes things happen. It's magic.

The Erin Miller Quiz (highest score was Mom with 8/12 correct!)

My family threw me a send-off party and a bunch of awesome people came. My parents started to cry when they gave speeches before cutting the cake. Emotions, emotions...

Coolest cake ever

I also accumulated a lot of loot which includes cash and college stuff (like highlighters, permanent pens, and a freezable lunchbox).

I stopped by the high school on Friday and a custodian friend of mine asked me how I felt about leaving for college. I told him I had mixed feelings. Pinole will always be my home, but I am ready to check out new things on the other side of the country. He left me with some heartwarming words.

"You will remember high school because it was here that you did great things. And that will happen wherever you go."

Right now, I'm feeling really sentimental so where's a better place to be but on Blogger? There are awesome people in my life. My heart is full. I'm not religious but I'd have to say that I feel blessed.
