Good Things Come to Those Who Move-In Quickly

Just to bullet point my day:

-Moved into 406 DellPlain Hall with two suitcases, a backpack, and my trombone.
-Bought dorm essentials.
-Met Chancellor Nancy Cantor (also known by Chancy Nancy) in the move-in line for DellPlain.
-Hung up posters.
-Blasted a jam sesh CD from a friend.
-Ate lunch with my folks at the dining hall right across the way.
-Opened my mailbox for the first time (there was a complimentary canteen inside!)
-Met my roommate, Nan, who is an international student from China. She told me that my side of the dorm was beautiful and that she liked my style. We also agreed that I would teach her English in my spare time. She took a photo of me and sent it to her friends. I also met her mom over QQ, the Chinese Skype system. Nǐ hǎo!
-Took my first dorm shower. No one spotted me in my fabulous leopard print Snuggie/bathrobe, thank goodness. It can't stay a secret forever, though.

Syracuse is hosting the annual NY State Fair!

The dorm food...

...is gorgeous and delicious.

Overall, a successful day! It's pretty warm on the 4th floor here. I've got the fan going, and the shower was nice. I'm quite certain that I'll be covered in another coat of humid slime tomorrow. No biggie, for it is essential to adapt.

My ID is a conversation starter.

This cool chick was really nice to me.

College loot and on the phone with Auntie Grace and Grandma.

Packing the car.

My beautiful dorm.

My beautiful parents.
Have a good night!

  1. It was awesome moving you in today. I don't think dad has spent this much time shopping.. ever! Thanks for being organized and having a list of everything you needed/wished for. We loved helping you deck your walls with posters and helping put your things away. And, thanks for treating us to dinner. You are beautiful individual!
