According to the New York natives, the ice crystals falling from the sky are flurries. How cute. Yesterday it was flurrying pretty darn hard when I was running around trying to get people into a taxi. But that is for a bit later.

It's pre-season for Orange Basketball. On Sunday, the Orange played the Bloomsberg Huskies (who had their team name stamped on the booty section of their shorts). I did my duty in Otto's Army in the pep band (AKA the Sour Sitrus Society, a student run group). The final score was 103-60. Go Orange!
Right after the game, I bolted back to DellPlain to catch a cab (as stated earlier). Snow was falling from the sky and it seemed more intense under the streetlights. I had about two minutes to defrost until the taxi guy called me and said he was out front.
The CIE Learning Community assigned another crazy project called "Restaurant Investments." Professor Kingma sent groups of 4 students to esteemed restaurants in downtown Syracuse. My group consisted of me and two guys, Ryan and Greg. We were assigned Lemon Grass, a Thai restaurant. It is one of the more expensive restaurants in Syracuse.

My fist time having duck! (photo from: http://lemongrasscny.com/food-gallery) |
I ordered the Orange Tamarind Duck which has received an award for the best recipe in the Northeast.
Greg got some spicy beef and Ryan went crazy and ordered a huge steak and a cut of swordfish. Our bill was similar to the numbers I'd see at my Ivy League Connection dinners. We shared dessert and headed back to DellPlain.
